Label-Launch! 2023 is a 2-day event curated by EIT RawMaterials Academy, where EIT-Labelled Master’s students will interact with raw materials industry professionals and experts. Participants from final year EIT RawMaterials Labelled-Master’s programmes will have the chance to meet and network with each other and the Experts, as well as celebrate with their course colleagues, and meet the rest of their EIT RawMaterials cohort in person for the first time!
Label-Launch! will combine career development workshops, professional and inter-programme networking, inspirational graduation speeches and a big celebration together with peers!
Label-Launch! will bring together 80 EIT RawMaterials Label graduates from 40+ countries and include leading industry, research and start-up representatives in the networking session.

Networking Masterclass
Niv Now
This session will help you develop the mindset, skillset and toolset to become a successful networker, so you can make the most of working a room and enjoy it at the same time. Session objectives:
- Learn how to research and prepare to attend conferences and events
- Understand how to make a positive first impression
- Know how to approach people, including those who are senior to you, with confidence
- Introduce yourself and your work effectively
- Know how to express interest in working with someone and avoid common pitfalls
- Be able to follow up, develop the relationship and stay in touch long-term
- Understand how to use your LinkedIn profile as a networking tool
Niv Now is a business coach, helping people to develop their leadership skills, improve teamwork, be more agile, and manage stress better. In career coaching, he helps people to fully understand themselves, where they want to go and how they can build up relevant skills quickly and network efficiently. For him, it’s about fully showing up and allowing people to develop their best selves by focusing on their passions and what they truly believe in.
Ace your Interview
Aleksandra Czekalska
This session will equip you with the tools and knowhow to go forward with confidence into the interviews that mark the start of your career. Together we will learn:
- How to present yourself verbally
- Tools to unlock different question types
- Techniques for building excellent responses
- Hands on practice in our virtual rooms
- Interview simulation and feedback
You will leave the session with a better understanding of how to promote yourself honestly, successfully, and with personal flair.
Aleksandra Czekalska is a career and life coach. She is also a psychologist and is active in talent aquisition. Her practice covers mental health and holistic life coaching, as well as career counselling· Those who she supports thrive and develop towards their full potential, with the ability to consciously share talents with the world.
PhD: to be or not to be
Aina Mas Fons and Ali Hassan
Upon completion of a Master’s degree, the big question arises: what next? Pursuing a PhD is one of the options. In this workshop you will receive insightful and practical information about a PhD as the next step and the career options to consider following the completion of a PhD. During the discussion you will have a chance to hear the first-hand experience of current PhD students and ask questions. The workshop will be focused on the following topics:
- PhD positions: what are the options and how to find the right one for you.
- Life after PhD: careers in academia.
- Life after PhD: non-academic careers.
Aina Mas Fons (AMIR) was born in Mallorca, Spain. She earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. In 2019, she enrolled in the AMIR master’s program, where she had the opportunity to study in both Bordeaux (France) and Liège (Belgium). Currently, she is back in Bordeaux at the beginning of her second year of her Ph.D., which focuses on the life cycle sustainability assessment (LCSA) of advanced materials used in battery technologies.
Ali Hassan (EMerald) is an industrial PhD student with FLSmidth and Helmholtz Institute Freiberg, enrolled at TU Dresden under EU-MSCA-ITN FlotSim project. His focus is on studying flotation hydrodynamics through particle based modelling and predictive geometallurgy approaches.

Alisa Kocetkova
This session is designed to help you increase your chances of landing the job you want by re-articulating your CV to be more meaningful and impactful.
Together we will learn:
- What employers look for in a CV and what ‘good’ looks like to them
- The key sections needed when drafting your CV
- How to re-articulate your existing skills and experiences to make you more attractive to recruiter
- Understanding what applicant tracking software (ATS) is, and how to beat it
You will leave the session equipped with the knowledge and strategy to help you land the job you are looking for.
Alisa Kocetkova spent several years as a manager in sales and product marketing, where she discovered her passion for supporting people in their personal development. The joy of working directly with people shaped and inspired Alisa, resulting in her new dedication to coaching. It is important to Alisa to create a trusting connection with people and to create an atmosphere in which people can fully devote themselves to their inner process.

Want to start a startup career? In this workshop you will receive insightful and practical information about innovation and social entrepreneurship as a career path. During the discussion you will have a chance to hear the first-hand experience of current entrepreneurs and ask questions. The workshop will be focused on the following topics:
- What do startup jobs involve day-to-day?
- Key sources of information and support
- How do you find funding?
Dr. Natalia Realpe Carrillo is CEO and co-founder of her sustaintech company, HEDERA Sustainable Solutions GmbH and a proud Klaus Töpfer Sustainability Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies Potsdam. She is also a dedicated co-head of the Green Inclusive & Climate Smart Finance Action Group of the European Microfinance Platform, and passionate guest lecturer at the Pan African University Institute of Water and Energy Sciences including Climate Change. She supports partners worldwide bringing stakeholders together, enabling partnerships and collaborations for improving access to basic services.
Lorelei Logel Demoulin stands for impact-driven innovation and social entrepreneurship. Her experience spans over five years in venture building and social impact within the startup ecosystem & innovation consulting space. She worked most recently on social intrapreneurship research and impact-driven partnerships in the last-mile delivery value chain. Lorelei has also supported the growth of an early-stage market & technology intelligence company as a Business Developer & Product Manager. She began her career by raising awareness and funds for social businesses as part of the Danone Communities fund team.
